How is the course delivered?
The course is delivered in either a classroom or virtually. For classroom courses, this can be at our site or yours.
We use a range of delivery techniques to provide a highly interactive course taught through case studies, classroom discussion, group work and individual or group presentations. There will also be some self-study outside of the course.
Entry requirements
- To be able to read, write and understand English to a good level. Please contact us if you have any concerns in this area
- If you need to re-sit the test, you must do this within 90 days of the original course date at an additional charge
- You will need to provide a valid ID on the first day of the course, such as a copy of your passport or driving licence.
How much does it cost?
The cost of this course is £500 plus VAT per person.
Assessment
You must contribute throughout the full 5 days of the course and deliver a project to the rest of the group.
The exam paper consists of 25 questions;
Part A;
- 18 multiple choice questions worth 1 mark
Part B:
7 questions worth 2 marks, 3 different types of question
- Multi response questions requiring two answers
- Fill in the blank questions
- Free text questions
You will have 35 minutes to complete the test and the last 15 minutes are open book (GE700 may be used).
Please note
You must renew this qualification every five years by attending and passing the 2 day SMSTS refresher course. You need to do this before your certificate expires or you will need to re-take the full SMSTS course.
